Washington DC - Capital Hill and White House

Capital Hill first:

 This distance shot was taken from the Top floor balcony at the Newseum Building: Note the Canadian Embassy right beside it.

This is a shot inside the Library of Congress (very similar to the library at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa)

The White House now only viewable from across a wide street behind barriiers, note there were snippers stationed on the roof and much police presence.
