July 31st - Aug 2 Dempster Highway - Tombstone - Arctic Circle

We camped at Tombstone Yukon Park (in fact we left our 5th wheel there and drove to the Arctic Circle 300 km more each way)

Because of the distance involved we stayed over at the Eagle Plains Hotel. We had considered possibly carrying on to Inuvik but the weather and road condition was not quite good enough, Oh well another trip.
Shattered rock on side of road
Various views along the way.

Cariboo lichen.
Tombstone mountain is the peak in the far center
This is a fairly rare White Fireweed
Bear sculpture made of branches.

  2. We made it as far as Tombstone Territorial Park and loved it. From your pictures we may have to return and drive on up to Eagle Plains or beyond. Great pictures,
