Sept 2 -3 Argentia and Ferry

We stayed in Argentia when we visited Cape St Mary's and other western Avalon sites. This is a view from our campsite.

 We visited Castle Hill National Historical Site. This view is of the town of Placentia. Argentia has no town just an old airforce base.

 This is our ferry to leave Newfoundland

 Leaving port we could see our campsite up on the hill. You can also see some of the old airforce buildings.

 The ship had an great entertainer all evening. The trip takes 14 hours on a good day. Our sailing was delayed 1 hour because of winds and then took 17 hours to cross to North Syndey, Nova Scotia.
