Sept 12 - 14 Grand Pre and Halls Harbour

We spent three days at a campsite on the Bay of Fundy at Grand Pre and visited much of the surrounding area including Canning, Kingsport, Wolfeville and Halls Harbour.

We visited the Grand Pre Winery. Many of the vines were covered to keep the birds away

The Grand Pre National Historic Site tells of the Acadians and their forced departure for Nova Scotia by the British.
This is the low tide view.
Salt marches in the tital zone
 Shells in the tital mud
Halls Harbour gives a better look at the height of the tides.

Halls Harbour is also famous for its Lobster Pound and Restaurant. Of course I had to try one.
